Xbox 360, Playing a game without the disk???

I know you can play from the HDD since th NXE update. Has anyone figured out how to play the game without the disk from the HDD or using a generic boot disk to initiate the game?

I've heard that what some people do is install the game on the hard drive, have the disc in it so that the security can be checked, and then wait for the dvd to spin down. Once that happens, a paperclip is used to force open the drive, which then that game can be taken out and used on another console or so.

Obviously you would still need the original, and this method is probably also very likely to cause errors (I would not do it to my console).

That would be to use the game on two consoles to system link i guess? I would more like to borrow someones game and use a copy to start the game, and play from the HDD.

Do you think a non-flashed DVD rom will play off the burnt copy if you have the game on the HDD? I really dont want to modify my console so I can play on XBL.
