I was trying to share a video with a co-worker but he could not access my shared videos folder. I tried from another pc in the room and none of my shared folders were accessable. I turned off windows firewall and everything was like normal. Obviously I would prefer to keep the firewall turned on but I'm curious how this would have happened? The only settings I could find were to allow connections from outside of the local network. Any help will be appreciated.

Hey snardos

Most probably, you do not have File and Printer Sharing checked under Exceptions in Windows Firewall.

Life is but a dream; you dont feel any pain unless you want to or you fall off the bed.
Success is relative; the more success the more relatives.
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kickboxing.
To be or not to be; thats a dumb question.
