ive got my ps3 running through an hdmi cable to my dlp tv. i got nhl 09 last week and after doing the update my signal went out. i switched to the a/v wires and those work fine so now i dont know if its in the ps3 or in my tv input. has anyone else had problems with updates knocking out signals????

Try holding the power button down and wait for 2 beeps. This will reset you video output and all you basically have to do is set it back to HDMI.
This happened to me but backwards. I did not have HDMI cables so used the stock RCA cables when I got my PS3. When I got the HDMI cables all I got was audio. I did the reset and it worked like a charm. Let me know how you make out.

i tried that right when it happened but it didnt work. but i turned it on last nite and now its working again so go figure. thanks for the input though

Could have been a "HDMI handshake" also.
If it happens a again just unplug and plug in the hdmi cable while the tv and ps3 are still on.
