Okay im a TOTAL newb in this area...

I have a XBOX360 Core Console with a BenQ drive I believe and I bought it in December 2007. It was put into Warranty in July after it would put only sound and not video out...

I want to know how I can ?FLASH? ?CUSTOM?FIRMWARE? on a 360. I heard you can use a USB flash drive disc. I need to know what to do and what the risks are before trying...

Q1. Can I still go on XBOX LIVE?
Q2. Can I still play XBOX originals and DVDs?
Q3. Can I do this for cheap?
