Hi

I had a question. I have a backup of one of my games ad am trying to play it from the memory card. I have custom firmware 3.03 oec and when I try to play the games I am getting the 80020148 error. I have gone t recovery mode and disabled the UMD and als t advanced and disabled all 3 options as from my reading this usually fixes the issue....but for me it s not. Any help would be GREAT.

The games I am trying to play are Monster Jam Urban Assault and Shaun White snowboarding.

Do you think I should upgrade from 3.03oec t a later firmware? I am not sure what to try.

Thanks

Yes upgrade to a newer custom firmware. HERE is a 1 stop guide I created that will let you update all the way up to 4.01 M33-2 (5.00 M33-3 is the latest but I have not updated the guide yet).

4.01 M33-2 will play all games available at this time. So upgrading to it will let you play the games.

Once you get to 4.01m33-2 you can upgrade to 5.00m33-3 through the Network Update on your psp if you have a wifi connection!

Read the guide again.

It says to go into recovery mode and change the kernel mode to 1.50.

It is already in the GAME150 folder.

Actually changing the kernel to 1.50 and 3.52 will not matter for the M33-4 update since it is already in the GAME150 folder.

So try doing this...

Go to (on the PSP memory stick) PSP/GAME150 folder and transfer the M33Update4 folder to the PSP/GAME folder.

So all your doing is moving the M33Update4 folder from the GAME150 folder to the GAME folder.

After you do that make sure the kernel mode is still set to 1.50 and try the update again.

Still does not work....shows corrupted data

After you do that make sure the kernel mode is still set to 1.50 and try the update again.
