hi everyone i'm a noob to the psp stuff so just wanted to ask if i can get some help..
i just got a psp FAT 4.01 from my brother that he don't use anymore..
so i just wanted to know how to down grade my firmware ??
i have seen the pandora battery thing on the web..
but is that all i need to do ..
or do i also need the magic memory stick ..
i was told that all i need to do is mod my battery and then mod it back..
that i have one of the first ones that i don't need the magic stick..
i only need the magic stick if i want to upgrade my firmwere ..
that i didn't understand i thought i wanted to downgrade ??
well before i mod my psp i thougt i ask people that know what they are doing and talking about..
thanks for all your help everyone..
and yes i'm a noob and don't know anything yet thats why i'm asking so i can learn just like everyond did before..

You need both the Magic memory Stick and Pandora Battery.

The Pandora Battery puts the PSP into service mode and lets you boot from the Memory Stick. The Magic Memory Stick has the files to boot the PSP and install custom firmware to the PSP.

Go HERE and follow this guide for creating the Magic Memory Stick + Pandora Battery.
