new twilight hack beta2 problem on 3.4u wii

hi,i accidentally updated my usa wii to 3.4u. & wanted to install hbc channel on it so i could downgrade it. i was able to get the new version twilight hack yesterday for 3.4 users,i was able to load the twilight hack save file on the game & after talking to the guy it freezes then words came out asking me if i want to install HBC channel so i pressed yes..then i thought everything was fine but these words came out.."you have wii system menu 385 (V24 usa) & the HBC channel has only been tested on wii system menu 290 (V18) & below. proceed at your own risk" i still tried to install it but it said that installation failed. any ideas how i can install HBC on it? thanks in advance!

I had this same exact problem the first time I had tried too! But I found a solution :D

You need to get the latest version of the homebrew channel (v 2.4), and paste that into your SD card replacing the older version that you may have downloaded from somewhere else.

Yeap as manifest3 stated. Only the newest version of HBC BETA9 works with the new TP hack for 3.4 firmware.

Download the_homebrew_channel-beta_9 and extract it. Transfer the boot.dol file that is inside the extracted folder to the root of the SD CARD.

Now run the Twilight Hack for 3.4 (twilight-hack-v0.1-beta2) which will automatically start the boot.dol file and install the Homebrew Channel.

which software lets you play wii backups without a mod chip. I got the homebrew channel installed already

I'm new to all this, but have been reading for several evenings. I too had this problem, and tried to follow the advice. I couldn't find beta9 - it seems that the newest version is 1.0.1. When I tried to boot, I got a similar message to the original post - except it says that the Homebrew Chanel has only been tested with Wii System Menu version 354 (V22). That's still below my (and OP's) version 385 (v24USA). Is this going to work as well as the beta 9?

That message comes up all the time but it is fine to install it anyway.
