Ok first of all, Im some-what computer literate. My knowledge of computers is limited but i feel is enough to know what im doing. Now my problem, I have a Hitachi v0059DJ drive. I have a dell dimension E310 windows media center pc, The SATA im using is the onboard that came with my pc. I did everything the "Hacking The Xbox 360 for Noobs" 2008 edition manual said to do. Everything with slax 2.0 goes fine, No errors nothing. When my pc boots up (and ive tried restarting many times) i keep opening and closing the hitachi drive, but when i get into windows it does not recognize my drive. Ive even tried going to Control Panel-Add New hardware, Again, Nothing. Im pretty sure my SATA drivers or versions WILL work for what im doing because in a previous attempt my pc DID recognize the drive (but did not add drivers to my pc) but it wouldnt tell me a drive letter so i was to scared to attempt a flash. ALSO i think it caused my original disk drive for my pc to fault because it also said there were no drivers and refused to do anything. On the stranger side when i put my Windows install cd in, It let me reinstal windows which fixed the problem with my pc's disk drive but NOW my pc wont recognize the Hitachi 360 drive for anything in the world. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. ive searched many many forums and google to but to no avail. Please dont add comments calling me a noob or being a smartass, Youll just be wasting my time and yours and ill still be stuck. Thank you in advance for any help! :)
