I have been searching around a few days and came up with a good PC for ~850 http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Public...Number=5497649, but my parents just told me I have t limit to something near 600-650, I already have Vista Ultimate 64 and a Monitor, but I don't know what parts to get for a good cheap, and long lasting P.C that plays the latest games(Far Cry2,GTA IV,Crysis, etc) and will continue to do so. So my question is"Please build me a P.C for around 650". Sorry If I'm asking too much

Fortunately PC parts are much cheaper these days, so you can get a reasonable system for that much, especially if you already have the peripherals.
I'm not a US citizen so I can't create my own newegg wishlist, but I'll list the parts I'd change.
This hard disk instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152100 - save $20
This RAM instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145184 - save $25 with a mail-in rebate
This CPU cooler instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186134 - save $5
This Graphics card instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102770 - save $50, $70 after mail-in rebate
This Motherboard instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128347 - save $30
This Power Supply instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371006 - save $55
As previously discussed, the case is out of stock, use this one instead - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146041 - save $20 after mail-in rebate
This CPU instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115132 - save $70

Total saving: $220 initially, $290 after mail-in rebates

Could I go with the q6600 somehow, as I want to overclock it to about 3.6

That's not going to be possible. Newer Q6600s don't overclock as well as the old ones used to, 3.4 is about as high as you can get on a realistic voltage. The CPU is 70 dollars of those savings, so if you can squeeze $740 out of your parents as an initial payment, go for it, but that isn't really 'something near 600-650'

I'm not happy with that power supply or hard drive, both for reliability reasons. Those look like the only changes you've made, and they're not good ones. You could get a smaller hard drive to save a few more dollars, but don't buy a Hitachi, stick with WD, Seagate or Samsung, and always buy solid, proven power supplies. The PSU I've chosen is actually cheaper, though on reflection I think this would probably be the best unit:

Hmm, I'm not particularly confident of that Power supply either. It should work, but I can't say how long it will last.

For an extra $15, I would get the EP45-UD3P. It would be easier to make an upgrade to your PC later on. It has 2 PCI Express slots vs 1, so you can add a 2nd 4850 and have crossfire. Crossfire increases performance on games by as much as 60% from what I have seen.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128358

And listen to sammorris about the PSU. I had to build a new PC because my video card messed up and I am very confident that the PSU did it. Protect your investment.

here's something to read for fun about overclocking a Q6600:

A common mistake. People with burnt out wrecks of systems often regret that choice later on. "But I wanted a faster processor" - and look where it got them, broken motherboard, RAM and Graphics card, along with dozens if not hundreds of gigabytes of lost data when their hard disk got zapped.
Your call.

1.Is everything compatible?
2.Any way to get the shipping down from $40?(Maybe something w/free shipping)

Yep, the parts are compatible. As for shipping, that's just the way newegg works I'm afraid.

I can see why it is tempting...

$55 for the PSU
$70 for the HDD
----------------
Total: $125

Combo Savings: $40
Rebate savings: $40
--------------------
Total Savings: $80
--------------------
Subtotal: $45
Shipping: $6 (estimated)
------------------------
Total: $51

Cheapest alternative:

PSU: $40
HDD: $70
-----------
Total: $110

It is a $59 difference...

Let's try a slightly different build. Your's is $637 correct?

Mobo: Same $100
PSU: PC Power $40
HDD: Same $70
Reader: Same $8
GPU: Same $130
HSF: Same $19
Case: Same $40
KB: Same $9.25
RAM: $15 I'll give you Promo code
CPU: Same $178
SKR: Same $23
------------------
Total: $632.25 after rebates

You save $4.75 + whatever savings from not paying shipping on the PSU and you get a better PSU

I think the total price of your system is a little less than 637 though as the figures don't make sense, cause I was expecting my suggestions to be about $20 more...

EDIT: I can see if I can cut that $40 shipping a bit for you...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128358

it's back in stock?

This one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128359

I think the only difference is this has 1 PCI Express vs. 2 on the other one.

Edit: I'll look for some more so hold on a bit

These too:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131299
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128345 (the first Gigabyte is better, but this is cheaper)

Edit: That is about it at that price range.

As for a total build, the best I was able to muster was Shipping of $27. The total price was $834 + $27 shipping (of course that is for my zip code). Then there were $120 in rebates bringing the grand total to $715.

Edit:

Your build would be, $728 + $41 shipping. There are $120 of rebates so it looks like yours would be $649 after shipping. Looks like it pays to pay for shipping??? Double check your final shopping cart, cause your wish list is not working for me any more because the power supply is no longer in stock....

One final question:
Is this ALL I need if I already have Vista,Monitor, and a Mouse?

The original Gigabyte board is back in stock!!!!!!

It looks like this is all you need. Do you need some type of wireless internet connection? There is a PCI card with wired antenna for $11 including shipping. Other than that, I can't think of anything else. Maybe some case fans? Get those from a local shop though to avoid shipping.

Maybe also the Arctic Silver. You are paying $7 shipping on Arctic silver, so total price is $12. Odds are you can find it cheaper at a PC store. You will not use the whole tube, so try and find a smaller tube locally.

Also, if something you are buying is not on sale, you can hold off for a day and see if tomorrow there will be a new sale. If you cannot get the PSU you originally wanted (it was out of stock last I checked) go for the PC Power & Cooling one I linked to before. It is $40 after rebates.

Also, if that hurts the budget, go for the RAM I linked to as well. The G.Skill might be faster, but it is up to you. The Corsair is $30 cheaper. Let me know, and I will give you the promotion code for $5 off the Corsair.

Well the Original is still OUT OF STOCK and I have ethernet directly from my router, so I don't need Wireless.
Should I wait? Or should I order?
I don't know because they're not going to ship today any way, Do you think any deals will pop up?

Create an account. Log in. Then put it in your shopping cart. It's still there. But put it in your cart now to make sure.

Everything is pretty safe. The potential savings I see if you order within a week is $30.

If you do not need it ASAP, then the motherboard (the Gigabyte), the PSU, the RAM, and the Video card you should buy today.

If you order today, you will probably get the Components by Friday.

But, the build looks very good. The only part I think there is not a rush to buy is the CPU. I bought the retail version for $2 more on Wednesday. So really, the only difference if you wait would be hoping to get a retail CPU. I think the retail comes with a longer warranty (I might be wrong). However, I would guess that the warranty is void if you overclock (I could be wrong again).

Basically, this is a very good PC. It is cheaper than what I bought two days ago and pretty much the same, except you also bought an HDD, Keyboard, Card Reader, and DVD Drive and still paid less :P
