Hi everyone,

Would really appreciate any help you may have.

I'm using the Box and all the BBC, ITV channels work fine, but when I try to use Sky Sports or Sky Movies, or any other cable channel for that matter, I get a blank screen and the following message;

Data is being updated (X%)

(imagine X is a number)

When it reaches 100%, it sometimes goes up to %120, then it just restarts "updating" no matter how long I leave it it keeps doing the same thing. I've tried doing a rescan etc. but nothing has worked.

Any help would be fantastic.

Thanks

Same as before. There are no firmware fixes yet for any boxes other than the Kryptview.
Code posting and code begging, especially with emails ( spambots come on down ) will earn you a suspension.

@ Carlton normally you use Sly sports to update the data , however you can also use BBC 1 etc

Everyone else .....
Lads remove your email addresses not only are you letting the powers that be know you have illegal boxes , but you will also be inundated with offers of penis enhancers and viagra LOL

I'm really sorry to be such a pain but it's the actual "updating" I don't understand. Do you mean when I put it on the channel and I get the "data is being updated" message? I don't get that message on BBC because those channels work. Is there a process I should go through to update?

Sorry for being clueless.

ok just try a channel that says updating data.. the ones with the dollar sign, try sly movies and it should click in on one of those .. provided you have the correct data of course!!

The problem you are having OP is that your firmware is no longer able to auto update the key changes for decryption.
It will not update by itself regardless of which channel you are on.
The only short term fix for this is to manually input the current keys on your box each time that the code rolls and new codes are published.
Information on the process used to manually enter codes into boxes can be found on this site. The actual codes themselves re not allowed to be posted here nor are links to anywhere posting the codes.
This problem will remain until a firmware fix is released and the boxes then can return to auto updating.

Virginmedia are having a push against illegal boxes and have opened a hotline asking existing customers to telephone and inform them of anyone known to be using an illegal box.
They are currently showing adverts about this on their Virgin 1 channel.

Email addresses removed, the same will happen to persistent lazy people who flock here to clog up our forums with begging requests.
