hi larrylje,

What seems to be the problem with my unit PSP slim having just a new battery but I have noticed that battery life is very short upto 1 hour maximum? Is it in the unit or battery itself? Please help.

Thank you

Hi,

Thanks for the reply...I guess it's the after market battery as I wanted to have a cheaper cost. Does it mean that I really have to use official battery even if it's a modified unit?

Please help.

No you dont have to use the official battery, but there are people out there who like to rip other people off with faulty products. So, seeing as how it's an after market product, i'm sure it's safe to say that the battery itself isnt functioning properly.

If you have a friend who owns a psp test the battery out in their unit. If it dies within an hour like it did in yours then its the battery, if it doesnt...then you know its a problem within your psp's hardware.

Thanks a lot again. Will it affect other PSP system if I use other unit just to test that battery? Secondly, if it's in hardware issueis it the end of the unit? I mean there will be no solution at all, isn't it?

Please help.

The battery wont affect someone elses psp. If its a hardware issue, theres always a way of fixing anything.

Just figure out if its actually the battery itself before we jump into the depths of details for hardware fixes.
