i bought a 20gb hard drive on ebay that shipped from hong kong a while ago which works fine for 360 games. for some reason when i put in any retail xbox 1 games that are on the compatibility lists that are supposed to work it says something about "the game could not start, please download the game again". i thought this was really weird because it's on a disk, not downloaded, so when i swapped in a different 20gb hard drive into my system the game plays no problem. so it's definitely something with my hong kong hard drive, is there any way to fix this? i formated, and cleared the cache on the hard drive but it still didn't help.
no luck getting the hdd to work, i'll prolly get one of those 120gb WD bevs laptop hdd's from newegg for like $55 and make it a 360 hard drive with HDDhackr. if you have access to another 360 hdd you could try to make a backup image of the hdd that works with xbox1 games using Xplorer360, then restore that backup image onto the one that doesn't play xbox1 games.
so why dont u try calling ms and asking what the problem is, dont tell them u got it on ebay. say it was a gift or something. see if they have heard of the problem before, maybe geta replacement if ur lucky. worst that can happen is they say they cant do anything.
