Quick Question and Opinion Needed re 3.1U

Guys I need your opinion. I am currently on 3.1U with a WIIKEY 1 on 1.9g. I have backed up, brick blocked and burned Animal Crossing and Disney's Sing it. I have gotten to the start screen for both games but then I get the black screen and my WII freezes. I have been reading pages and pages of the great forums here and I think I need an ISO for a microphone driver. Since I am not interested in the Homebrew stuff as I just copy my purchased games and let the kids use the backups, I don't want to install the homebrew channel etc. What do I need to do to get these backups working? Would it be safe to just use the originals and let them update the WII to whatever version is on the discs? If so, do you know what version is on these discs? Sorry for asking the obvious but up until now I have had no issues and I want to make sure I keep it that way if possible.

Well I got no responses so I went ahead and let an un brick blocked version of Disney's Sing It do an update. It seems I am on the same 3.1 so I don't know what sort of update it did but everything now works with the game and the WII as well. So my only question is about Animal Crossing. If I do not brick block it will it update the firmware at all?
