Flashed MS28 read problem

I flashed a friends Samsung MS28 yesterday and all went well. However it has problems reading backups. It reads originals fine but almost every time will display "unable to read disk" or "unplayable disk" when using a backup but will sometimes load but takes a while. The backup has no scratches and it runs fine in another 360. What could be the problem? I used my friends older Dell with a Roswell SATA controller card. Does it matter what kind of PC is used?
If something went wrong during the FW read and it is corrupt can I use the cracked firmware from another MS28 to reflash it?

Went back today and reflashed and all works well. Not sure of the problem but it's fixed. Maybe the first flash didn't take well.
