Just kidding. What do you mean by .wads. There are Virtual Console, homebrew, and Channel .wads.

well to get certain backups working i have been advised to install wads
and after i had done so the games work, im just being enquisative as to what each wad is and does

i am with you on this one. I am tring to learn and as you want to understand more of what exactly I am doing. Its good that i have it working but I like to understand the inner workings and why one wad would make the back ups work and why another wouldnt. Does it have to do with the update version you are using as to what wad you want?
