Hitachi 49 drive will not go into modeb

Hi guys,
I have a Hitachi 47 drive that will not go into modeb, however hard I try.
Currently using CK3 and a VIA chipset.
Have done several other hitachi 47's today, with absolutely no problem at all - Its just this one drive.
Anybody any bright ideas? (Already tried slax)

google, lol. havent had to do it yet, knock on wood, as slax has always worked for me. but basically all you have to do is put a paper clip in two of slots of the power cord on the drive i think, not sure which ones is the reason why im telling you to google it.

Surely that is exactly what the CK3 doesn on the button press? (As the power is taken from the CK3)??

is it modded? try power on, eject tray, unplug power from brick, replug in, turn on console... that will put it in mode b if it has different firmware on it.

Only have the drive here.
The CK3 has worked on 5 other 47DJ drives in the last two days, but doesnt want to work on this 47DJ (Not 49 as I put in the title, lol)
Gonna try a different computer with onboard SATA.
Hope it works.
