So what exactly do you need to flash a Liteon with this new firmware?
Do i gotta get Xecuter CK3 Probe?....or anything in addition to that
I'm willing to spend a good amount of money if it is necessary but I don't want to spend like $100 for super basic and easy process.
However, I also don't want to spend like $5 and make it super hard for myself since I am probably not capable of doing that.

Hey guys,
I just bought myself a new 60gb Xbox360. I believe it's a falcon since it was made on 2008-09-10 and the amp is 14.2.
What I would like to know is exactly what I would need to get firmware 1.5 up and running.
Like I said I am new to the Xbox family, having owned a PS3 for 2 years now.

What's all about the Phillips drive in this new jasper boards?
Are these like the liteons?

phillips is benq and from memory they make the components for the lite on drive as well if thats what you mean ? In fact they are the major suppliers to the optical drive industry.

Where is a good place to get the Connectivity Kit V3 PRO in the USA? Hopefully b4 Christmas... I was gonna get a RS232 to TTL adapter but i couldn't find my connectivity kit V1, so I can power the DVD Drive to flash/read. Divineo is on preorder, mrmodchips is a BAD site. And I can't find any close resellers so im not sure how long shipping takes.
I could use the Xbox to power up the drive but Ive heard about Microsoft being able to detect DVD being unplug on boot and send an error report to MS, n if its been done alot the xbox could be banned that way.

That's not necessarily true. You will be able to get the key off of your drive without those tools if you don't mind a small bit of soldering.
You can also choose the 360 xtractor and spear instead of the ck3 and probe, but either would work.
