hi all, i have 2 digivox's in my house one silver and 1 xl. they are working fine. however i have been given a digivox xl which has lost all paid channels ie movies and sports. i have tried several firmwares from eamos library including the very latest. i know from reading previous posts that others r having similar problems but why is my other digivox xl working ok yet this 1 isn't? would appreciate any advice.
btw great site, has helped me alot over the years!

are u irl or uk? also state what firmware is loaded onto box.have u tried the set default key and emu is on?

i'm usin latest firmware, 1341, and i live in west midlands uk. i resetted to factory settings, scanned and enabled key emu. i'm not sure what default key is. thx

did it list channels it picked up on scan? set default key is above emu key,it clears out wrong stored data to allow box to update.

k so i goto system information, enter 1004 and activate default key? do i need to reinstall firmware after? thx 4 the tip i'll try it when i get back from work

no the only way of wiping firmware is to flash/update firmware,and it is
menu-system info-ok1004.

thx for ur help cactikid, pressing default key has made a big difference. i got all sports channels back now (which are the most important!) but i dont have any movie channels.

did u scan from direct feed from wall to box no splitters,and did u scan the correct provider?.

it has got a splitter on when i did it but the persons whos box it is doesnt so i'll get them to rescan hopefully that will work. many thx again cactikid

i just got mine when i goto system info and key in 1004 the hidden menu wont come up :( any idea it worked on me m8s

gary you have to press ok then 1004 it took me a couple of times to get it!

i thought it was just me not pressing ok but ive got a few xls now and none of them let me into the hidden menu unless i flash the box first with new firmware i dunno y this is its no biggie but just a strange 1

First and foremost well done to all our friends out there looking after us from Cyberspace!
Quick question... Will the nagra fix for the Digivox XL in eamos library work on the silver digivox - and if not - do you know if there is a fix. Tried to flash a couple of times and keeps telling me 'failed to flash'
Any and all assistance, is as always, much appreciated. LOL

as all firmware is made for each model you have to use that firmware only,it is not swappable if it says digivox xl only you are not to put it on any other box other than digivox xl.
sorry to say no update for earlier boxes.

Ok iv never done these before i followed the tutorial and downloaded the software and firmware 'digivoxxl_v1250_api.bin' (hope its right one) anyhows i done a factory reset, loaded firmware, scanned got all channels turned on emu, and i just keep getting ,scrambeld or bad channel, iv tried it loads of different ways but does,nt seem to be working and the system info does,nt seem to change when i load firmware please help

That would be correct, will not work on NTL Cable in Ireland, Will onlywork on Chorus and possibly on NTL MMDS(till the changeover/not sure if that fully implemented yet)

Are channels black/scrambled?
Does your box find any channels on a scan?
Is key Emu turned on?

thanks for quick reply i was on holiday for about 6 weeks, yesterday i came back and there is not a single channel, yest emue turned on and it says scrambled channel, 6 weeks a go i had about 34 channels, i did not scan my box since then
