Many thanks for clearing up that Issue about recording from a timer.
When I get the loop and connect it up,I will be able to record another channell while I am watching another,is that correct.
Also Can you tell me how to connect rhe loop up.

Gerry, i havent even got one of these boxes meself :)
I flashed one a couple of weeks ago with an 8MB stick for someone, and had a quick look at it before i gave it back.
Its a single tuner b0x, you can pause live TV & record.
Not too sure about connecting the loop, but someone here will be able to sort you out when you decide to set it up. If you got a manual with it, have a read through that mate.

Hi
Has anyone any idea about connecting up the loop, I am trying to record a channel while I am watching another.
If I am not able to do that can I connect a DVD Recorder to record programmes, and would i be able to watch another if I do so.

hi jerry or anyone who can answer i to have a brand new(unflashed) starview 4 usb.just a question do you only flash it with the 1.05beta file or do you need to flash it with the BG LOGO file as well?

Hi i got new starview 4 box delivered today. I have tuned in all the stations as normal but only a handfull have come on for me. All the other stations are there but i cannot get into the menu to turn on the E.M.U. button Can anybody outhere help me?

did you flash it with the 1.05beta and the bg logo file or just the 1.05beta?

Hi i am not great on computers at all. I have a starview 1 and a friend downloaded the software for me last year but this box is different so do i have to download new software onto this box and if so where do i get it from?

If you read through this thread, All the info is there, (Everything is Explained) The uk & Ireland fix are in eamos library in the first link under my sig.
All the flashing info etc is on this thread.
Just dont ask me about loops because I havent got round to that yet ;)
EDIT - If you`re in the uk use this - 301108 UK Firmware Fix.

Go to the link marked Starview 2nd line at the bottom of post and follow the guide, read down okay. >>>>>>>>

The latest firmware for the SV4 - "v1.07" is now in eamos library, with thanks to the hard work of the usual people.
