Ok I am new at modding and just have a few questions. I have done my homework and can't find an answer for this. Als I want to know if I have the right program.

ok first use slacks 2.1 to get in mode b

then the 79 unlock

I have read and understand all of that. Here is where im stumped.

Maximum Firmware Toolbox 4.8 -
I have this...This is what I need to put the firmware on?

ok I haven't got around to trying anything waiting on my via sata port to come in the mail. In the mean time Im studing and reading. Anyways I see a few diff things

-orig_fw FOLDER

-46 47 59 flash

I dont know which to use. I see when I open bin files I can go into the flash orig_fw FOLDER there are many bins with 79 on them. Also I have no clue when to get the new firmware when it comes out which I think think I need it my 360 stays offline. Please Help! TY in advance!

I meant I don't think I need new firmware when it comes out because I stay offline anyways.

You won't use any of those for a 79FL.
You would use ixtreme1.4 for v78+ and whatever speed you want 12x, 8x etc. It will be towards the top of the pull down menu when you get to that step.
