I have recently bought another xbox 360 due to my first having a Lite-on DG-16D2S Drive-(anyhackyet?).
and the second has a Hitachi ROM: v0078, i used pSlax21 disc although i had an error of some kind on slax.
The drive appeared to be in mode-B, i booted windows and had the drive recognised.
Then i used 360fwtoolbox_30 dumped the firmware original.bin Hitachi-GDR3120L-0078 and drivekey.
And then created the hacked.bin Hitachi-GDR3120L-0078 - [XTRM:MAX:78:V1.6]. flashed it.
what i wanted to know is, is XTRM:MAX:78:V1.6 the latest solderfree FWmod for the drive?
or is there an ixtreme version.
if so please could you tell me what files i need to look for and as much beginner help as possible,
also i have a file Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth_Rev2.rar
is this compatible with Hitachi-GDR3120L-v0078?
You did use the older firmware SteTravis but even iXtreme 1.4 which is the latest firmware for 78 isn't safe now so your doing the right thing by staying offline for a while.. Anyways, if i remember correctly the latest version of firmware toolbox had iXtreme 1.4 support for the Hitachi 78fk drive... It's been a while since i flashed my Elite but that's what i flashed 78fk with...
