ok got mode b working,

got the computer to recognize the drive,

but when I put an original game or dvd, it won't pop up the interactual player.

Any suggestions?

i assume you have the 2008 textbook

if your computer shows a drive connected and you are in mode b
it cant hurt to try a read of the firmware.

probably the dvd your using does not have interactual player not all do. just use an original game i did worked great.

it sounds like you have mode b and the drive recognised in windows and are asking as to why you dont have interactual player on your dvd! which is not a requirement, open maximus fw toolbox and try a read!

Interactual player only pops up on your computer if its installed, its just a media player, nothing to do with flashing.
Just got to your "My Computer" and if you can see your drive, then your drive is in modeb and is recognized by windows, next step is to just run the toolbox
