flashed drive speed to avoid getting banned ?

i read in the text book that there is no ideal read speed to run the flashed drive at.

so my question is then is there no way for m$ to check the read speed of your drive to throw up a flag in order for you to get banned?

also if anyone that reads this is running their drive at 12x i would appreciate it very much if you could tell me how it is working out for you.

Flashed mine at 12X speed around February of this year. Still not banned yet.

Well mine was a BenQ so some texture-intensive games like GTA IV, Mass Effect, Gears of War 1/2, had some problems where the textures would pop up. But now with the new game install feature in the NXE that problem is gone.

I'm running at 8x, and the only time I can notice a difference in load speeds is call of duty, before a level loads in multiplayer. 12x (normal people) will have their level loaded a little before mine, but Im still in the lobby and all before the game starts, so it's not that big of a deal to me.

And I'm not banned (knock on wood).

thanks guys. i was leaning towards the 8x just to give it a lil more time read the games. wouldnt want to reflash it again if it couldnt read the back ups
