I followed a guide to flashing BenQ drive. Everything's all set up, but I don't have any dual layer DVDs. Is there another way to tell if I did it right? I turned the 360 on and everything looks normal, I just want to know if it'll be able to play backups. I put in the iXtreme 1.4.1
Only way to know is to put in a backup. You can test if you have not frakked up the drive by inserting a movie, music CD, etc. See if the drive will read it.

even if you flashed it wrong, you could still watch movies and listen to cds. put a retail store bought game in there, if it plays it then you should be good to go.
you should be able to. its highly unlikely that something went wrong and you can still play real games. usually if something goes wrong, you cant play real games either.
