Questions about WiiGator Backup Launcher 0.3 gamma

Hey Guys,

First off, I have done alot of reading online, But getting conflicting info. I used Twilight hack, installed HBC and loaded WiiGator Backup Launcher. Everything works fine. I am running firmware 3.1U (NTSC USA Wii) I can only find PAL versions on some thing I wanna play. The thing that is throwing me off is...

Option 1) Update your Wii to the latest firmware version available from Nintendo. Do this via WiFi by going to the Wii symbol in the bottom left hand corner of main channel menu. Click on Wii settings then go to page 3 and click on system update.

I have read alot of people saying NOT to update your firmware. Since I am running 3.1u, I really don't wanna updated since I have the loader working and scared of bricking. So to update or not?

Another question I have is if I do put a pal that has the latest firmware on it does it ask me if I wanna update or does it do it automatically?

And lastly, I know I can use brick blocker to take the firmware out/bypass. But does WiiGator Backup Launcher's force NTSC ON always force it if i accidentally put in a PAL version? (My thinking in this is really based on if the region disk automatically installs new firmware)If so shouldn't I always leave Force NTSC ON, even when playing games i know are NTSC.

Really sorry for the Wall of Text. I have just been reading thread after thread for 3 weeks now and am looking for current up to date info. Since most threads I read were posted in 2007. (Think my brains turning mushy and probably reading into things too much)

the games don't force you to update. They ask you and if you say no then they won't run.
