does cios let you play original games as well as backups

also should i update to 3.3u if i have 3.3e i read that e is for europe and u is for ntsc

No you don't want to update to 3.3U if you have a PAL system (E). It will semibrick/brick your Wii.

You never want to cross region the firmware.

As for the cIOS booting backups.

The cIOS is just part of it. You need to install the cIOS and then use WiiGatores 0.3 gamma boot loader to boot the backups. Orignals are boot via Disc Channel as normal.

Do you have the homebrew channel installed? If not do you have Zelda Twilight Princess?

Also you said you have 3.3E firmware. Was this firmware the Oct 23rd update or was this update before Oct 23rd?

ive got 3.3e but dunno about oct 23

i just installed homebrew channel on my wii
and i no about the backup loader thing well really i try to install cios and i dunno if its installed

Go HERE and follow the steps I have listed in my post. You can skip the first part since you already have the homebrew channel installed.

if this is the way u did it the can you please tell me if u had a pal wii or ntsc?

also for this i will need to have to open the hbc to load the backup loader cant i install it? cz i need dat mmc

There are installers out there that will install the WiiGator boot launcher on its own channel. Just find it and then place the WAD in the WAD folder and get WAD Manager to install the WAD file which will install the boot launcher to a channel in the Wii menu.

Yes.

Just follow the directions on the link above.

As long as it is the WiiGator 0.3 gamma boot launcher version then it will work.

Did you install a previous older cIOS?

If so you will need to uninstall it before you can install the newest cIOS version.

It is possible that you have the 3.3 update after Oct 23rd that blocked WAD/cIOS from being installed.

You might want to go HERE and follow these steps to get WAD/cIOS install access back on your Wii.

i did it man i installed everything and i installed the cios in the files from gbatemp so thank u but i dont have a backup 2 load so i cant really say anything yet
