hello all
I have had a psp now for about a month, brough second hand, and since trying to play a game from the first day it has been fucked and its starting to get me mad now nothing seems to work. When i tried my first game it would freeze and shut its self off and then after that would not turn on for a good while. thinking it may be a bad copy of the game i tried another, the same thing happened with all of the games i tried (OFW by the way) so after this happening alot i thought it may be semi bricked due to the fact when i uploaded OFW upgrade my battery wasnt fully charged or connected to the mains. and so i brought a pandora battery and made my own magic memor stick, and today i installed the latest cfw and tried playing a game, it still froze so i copyed the game as an iso and tried playing it like that and still it froze. is my psp fucked or what? what could i possibly do to try to fix it, it is really testing my nerves now! any help would be much appreciated i dont wanna give up on it, it would have been a waste of money evry thing else works fine

what cfw are you running and what game are you trying to play

im running 5.00 m33.
its every game i play, i have tried 3 separate UMDs i have tried my own ripped isos of them umds and i have tried isos i downloaded, they all freeze. i reckon its gotta be my psp because before i had cfw they froze

try hitting select on your xmb menu and changing your umd iso mode to Sony NP9660.

nope just tried that and still keeps freezing cheers anyway mate

Try formatting it first through windows and then through the psp. I had the same problem and got this advice. PSP works like a charm now.
