Hi, I have a wii w/wiikey 2 which was updated to v1.2. I had no problems with my backups until I was trying super smash bros brawl. I burnt the game on a verbatim 8x DVD+R DL at 2x. Once I put in the game to wii is able to read it and I start it up. But after the "now loading" screen and when the intro is supposed to show, it freezes on the white screen.

I hope there's a solution to this. I bought the wiikey 2 cause it stated that it fixed the ssbb problem and is compatible with Dual layered dvdr's... apparently not....

BTW, the wii firmware is 3.3.

Wiikey2 is compatible with SSBB. The dual layer read error was exclusive to the first wiikey, only applied to the original disk (backup copies worked fine) and resulted in the disk being completely unreadable.

Your problem sounds like a standard bad burn, very common with brawl.
