New PSP-3000 - Can its firmware be downgraded?

OK, I plan on getting a PSP-3000, but I'm not sure if it's firmware can be downgraded....Can it? If not, does the homemade pandora's battery mod work with it?

Sorry to tell you but you can't hack the psp-3000 what ever you do. Unfortunately one day we might have to go back to modding.

it can get the psp into service mode but u cant write ani CFW on it coz its still protected

I think I am going to get the PSP 3000 anyway, at some point it will be hackable... I will wait patiently.
