i have a pal wii 3.4e,
wiikey 1.9s,
pal backup of ssbb, full dual layer,
using imgburn.

does the new firmware play this or do i have to do anything special to make this play, i.e. layer break, brickblock it, loader in homebrew channel etc........

sorry for this question here, i have been through all the 130 odd pages in the specific post but i could not get a straight answer to this.
please help. thanks .

To date: no update has effected an unmodified backup played using a modchip. So long as the game isnt truncha-signed it should play fine.

Sould work fine without layer break. I would use good dual layer media, burn at 2x and do a verify.
