Ok now dont flame, I have searched on Google and all but I dont understand a clue. I was wondering if someone could explain to me if I can softmod my Wii and if I can install Twilight Hack and Wiigater Hack, and which guide to follow.

I just bought my Wii (Yay!) and its version 3.3U. Now I searched and i don't know if I must downgrade it or I can directly install the Twilight hack and wiigater. Can someone help and give me a link to the order of guides? I don;t want to brick it because I didn't buy mine with warranty.

If you have the first 3.3U version then you can do this with ease.

If you have the Oct 23rd 3.3U update then you will need to go HERE and follow these steps to get WAD/cIOS instillation accessibility back again. All you need to do is the first 3 parts of the guide. There is no need to downgrade to 3.2U firmware.

But first try the below steps to see if you have a first version 3.3U firmware Wii. If you do then all files should install properly for you. If you get errors when trying to install anything then you probably have the Oct 23rd update and will need to use the above linked guide.

Alright I included all the files including the boot TP hack, HBC installer, cIOS, Boot Loader and WAD Manger in 1 package.

First thing you need to do is start a normal game of Zelda Twilight Princess. You need to start a game and save the file to the Wii at least once before you can transfer the hacked game file over to the Wii.

Once you have played the game for a few and saved it you can then continue below.

Download the package HERE.

Format your SD CARD via PC and then extract the above file. Transfer all files and folders inside the "TP_HACK_HBC+Backup Launcher" to the root of the SD Card (make sure you transfer all files and folders inside the TP_HACK_HBC+Backup Launcher folder to the root not the TP_HACK_HBC+Backup Launcher folder itself).

After you have done that place the SD Card into the Wii.

Go to the Wii Data Management and select the Wii TAB at top and find the original Twilight Princess game save and delete it. Now go to the SD Card TAB at top and copy the hacked TP game save to the Wii System.

After that go back to the main Wii menu and start the Twilight Princess game via the disc channel. There are 2 game saves listed because there are 2 USA version of Twilight Princess. Try loading the first game save and after the movie intro walk Back-words and the exploit should start (if you get an error try starting the game again but choose the second game save).

Once you get the proper game save it should launch the instillation of the Homebrew Channel. just follow the on-screen instructions. After it has installed the Homebrew Channel it will then reboot and you should have the homebrew channel on the Wii menu.

(If you get errors for both TP hacks listed in the game save then you will need to go to the above linked guide and fix the issue).

To install the boot loader follow the steps below.

Now start the homebrew channel. When the hoembrew channel menu comes up select the cIOS installer in the menu list. Follow the on screen instructions to install the cIOS (If you get errors when installing the cIOS you will need to go to the above linked guide and fix the issue).

After it is done it will then reboot the Wii. Now all you have to do is launch the homebrew channel again and this time select the WiiGator gamma boot launcher in the list and boot the game backup.

You can delete the boot.dol, Private folder, 00000001 folder and the cIOS_Installer249 folder located in the apps folder once you have everything working.

If you want to install Virtual Console/WiiWare or any other WAD file then all you need to do is place the WAD file in the wad folder on the SD Card. After you have done that you can then launch the homebrew channel and select Wad manger 1.3 from the menu. It will then ask what device you want to boot from. Choose to load the SD Card directory (you can load the WAD files on a USB storage device as well). A list of the wad files will come up. Go to the 1 you want to install and press the + on the Wiimote and then A to accept and it will install the WAD to the Wii menu. To uninstall it do the same above steps but press - instead of + (keep an eye on your Wii Memeory. There is a limit to the amount of WAD files that can be installed on the Wii. Once you reach the full capicity on the storge you will need to delete a WAD file to install another 1).
