I have a 1.9S Wiikey and my Wii is updated to 3.2E and I'm afraid that if I buy Animal Crossing and update it, my wiikey or Wii won't work anymore. Is that the case? If so, can someone please tell me how to get a working Animal Crossing on my Wii? And keep it simple, I'm not very good at hacking and stuff >.<

Make sure Your wii system is updated to the 3.1FW Then either copy your game and use wii brick blocker to remove the update from the disc or even easier obtain the scrubbed/blocked ver on the net.
After that locate IOS38-64-v3609.rar somewhere out there use a wad manager such as the basic one in the twilight hack or the one that comes with the homebrew channel, Install the wad file burn the scrubbed image and viola! works just like any other wii games!

You can certainly play it and update your system I have heard mixed reviews as to if it will work or not but whats fact is this, You install that new system update completly you will no longer have the options of using the twilight hack, or homebrew channel, and then it's a world of hurt when you have to research everything to downgrade your IOS and go from there again

Just to add a little more info. If you download WiiScrubber you can extract the IOS38-64-v3609.WAD file from the ISO before WiiBrickBlocking it.

That way you don't have to search for it and know your getting a good copy of it.

Well thanks guys. I'm just not very good at this editting thing, that whole Twilight thing sounds complicated, though I do have a legit version of the first batch of Twilight Princesses. >.<

It is simple to do.

All you need is a SD Card and the Twilight Princess game disc and a few files.

I will upload most files you need for you and give you the steps to take.

First thing you need to do is play a normal game of Zelda TP and save the game 1 time (this needs to be done so you can transfer the game save hack over to the Wii).

Download this file HERE.

Format the SD Card and then extract the above file. Transfer all the files/folders inside of the TP_HACK_PAL_HBC folder to the root of the SD Card (Transfer all files/folders inside of TP_HACK_PAL_HBC to the root not the TP_HACK_PAL_HBC itself).

Once you get that done place the SD card in the Wii. Now go to Data Management and then to game saves and make sure you have the Wii tab at top selected. Find the original Zelda game save that you created and delete it. Now go to the SD Card TAB at the top and copy the Zelda TP Hack to the Wii.

After you do that go back to the Wii menu and put in Zelda TP game and start it via disc channel. Load the hacked game save file and after you take control of Link walk Backwords.

This will launch the Homebrew Channel Installer. Just follow the on-screen instructions. Keep selecting ACCEPT till the Wii boots and you will then have the Homebrew Channel in the Wii menu.

Now for the City Folk part.

You will need to find IOS38-64-v3609.wad file. You can find it by searching for it via google or if you have a 1:1 copy of City Folk (that hasn't been WiiBrickBlock) you can use this guide HERE to extract the IOS38-64-v3609.wad file from the game disc.

Once you have the IOS38-64-v3609.wad file place it in the wad folder on the SD Card.

Now go to the Homebrew Channel and start it. Then start WadManager in the Hombre Channel menu. When the WAD Manager starts select to boot from the SD Card. You will have the IOS38-64-v3609.wad file listed. Go to it and press the + button on the Wiimote and it will then install the WAD file. After it is done exit out of Wad Manager and you should now be able to play a WiiBrickBlocked backup of City Folk.

Im still kind of confused after reading. Its known that if both wii and the game are from same region then updating shouldn't be a problem. But in the case of Animal Crossing, if both wii and game are from the same region then is doing all the .wad and/or finding a scrubbed version still necessary?

The Animal crossing update has 3.4 which places a limitation on homebrew (will not let you install WAD/cIOS files). You can get around this by installing the above wad I mention and then WiiBrickBlocking the update on the game disc.
