okay yea i'm a newbie to burning games but not to online forums and google, i've been on a bunch of different sites all with conflicting instructions and outdated posts. Basically my main question is how do i get around setting the booktype if i have a burner (NEC 3450A and Sony DRU 710A) which aren't supported by imgburn, what other alternatives are available. I understand setting the booktype to dvdrom ensures compatibility but has anyone tried not setting it and had success?? If anyone has a 2007/2008 instructions for burner that would be awesome..my hard drive is filling up with all these diff xbox softwares and i've yet to burn a game! oh and yes the xbox is already modded. i have a benq drive as well from what i understand its one of the newer drives maybe this means i don't need to set the booktype i'm thinking? Pls any suggestions for pointing in the right direction would be great.

You do not need to booktype anymore.

This is what you do-

1. Download ImgBurn if you don't already have it.
2. Place a blank DVD+R DL disc inside you drive. Your drive must have the ability to write DVD+R DL discs (duh). Also make sure you use high quality discs like Verbatim Made in Singapore to save the headaches later on.
3. Open up ImgBurn.
4. Go to Mode->Write or just click the big button that says "Write image file to disc".
5. It should now read your blank disc.
6. Have your .dvd and .iso file ready in your desktop or in the same folder together.
7. Explore for your .dvd file and select it.
8. Set the write speed to 2.4X.
9. Click the big button to start burning.
10. Check the close program and eject tray when finished boxes.

Now just wait. Don't do anything else on your computer. Wait for your disc tray to pop out and then you are all done.
