Hello,
I would like to know if I can go straight from 3.62 ofw straight to 5.00 M33 cfw?
Or I would have to get any lower custom firmware first, and then install 5.00 M33-4.
Thank you

With firmware that high mate you are going to need a pandora battery and magic memory stick, look it up in the search bar at the top!

Thx for the reply,
I have Daxter edition slim psp-2001 with 3.72 OFW and I have pandora battery.
Can I make magic memory stick with custom firmware 5.00 M33-4 and upgrade straight to that? or I would have to upgrade to lesser custom firmwares and go from there?

Should I install official 5.00 firmware and then 5.00 M33-4 update?

Hey cee43ja1,
Pandora's battery is used to boot from magic stick. What is a simple way to make magic stick so I can put 5.00 firmware on the magic stick with 5.00 M33-4 update.
I read tons of guides and stuff, and all of them want to upgrade or downgrade to other custom firmwares before going to 5.00 M33.
I just want to go straight from original firmware to 5.00 M33-4 without much hassle if possible.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to my help

I have pandora's battery
So from that guide, if I create magic stick, can I put 5.00 and 5.00 M33-4 update on it instead of 3.71 etc ?

5.00 m33 is already included. you will have to go to 3.71 m33 first, then you can update to 5.00 m33

@cee43ja1
Do you recommend updating to the 5.00 m33? Is it smart to update to the latest CFW or does it matter? I would assume it has bug fixes and stuff but I'm new to the psp modding and am not sure.

cee43ja1,
I posted a small tutorial on how to mod your psp in another thread:

i already have my 5.00 m33-3 slim, and 3.52 m33-4 fat. and i have my pandora's battery and u.p.m.s. handy. and there's plenty of tutorials that are easy to use and understand, like larrylje's.
5.00 m33 is completely stable. only reason i upgraded is to use irshell 4.8.

I think that "lv44" thought that i was you, rather than that i was asking you the question, because of the "@cee43ja1" that i posted. But thanks for the info.

you can use a pandora to update to a cfw, then update to 5.00 m33-4. i dont think there is a new version where you can go directly to it, but check on Dark_Alex's site.

DC8 takes you straight to 5.00m33-4 but you can use DC7 to go to 4.01m33-2 and update to 5.00m33-4 using the Network Update on your psp if you enable it in your recovery!
