you crazy so and so lol.

ok firstly, forget dvd you need blu-ray!!!

2nd, just burn it as a data disc.

playable on pc, and maybe some blu-ray drives, most likely not going to work in any audio based players.

ok, i'm not sure how you use a drive linked to a t.v. never heard of it.

BUT if it is a computer software you're looking for then nero is good. or if you want a free one then just search for a free data dvd burner. ok? :-)

Here's a free app that I used many times in the past before I bought Nero. Works like a charm.

Go here:

Don't be put off by the name. Works equally well with DVD (including data). Fast, reliable, free.

Then you might as well go whole hog and invest in Nero (or see if you can find a copy of Nero Essentials usually available under ten bucks) if all you need is the burning feature.

i did the same thing with my music and i used winrar. it is good because you can tell it to split the files to exactly what a dvd-5 will hold. this way you can eliminate wasted disc space.

7z compression is the best, say for example you zip 2 files exactly the same, the 7z file will be the filesize of the single compressed file. rar and zip would be 2x large.

7z will give you the smallest filesizes. to compress to 7z, download zipgenius. if you download suite version, you can cut ANY file to fit any medium.

way better than any zip app. best of all, it's free. how cool is that?

I've been using ZipGenius for years. It does everything I need it to do. Fast, easy, free.

i don't think many people know of this software, it's so powerful and easy that if everyone knew of this, no-one would bother with the other similar softwares.

i know what you mean, i've been using this software for years too.

btw, the link leads to the standard edition. i'd highly recommend the suite edition which you can find here.

it includes cutter 4 for splitting files. (which you can always download seperately if you have standard version OR suite because it's a stand-alone application.)
