Trouble installing CFW with MMS and Tool pandoras battery

so i'm following the tutorial here. and i got my pandoras battery tonight from DealXtreame. it went good, i got my MMS created with telling it to use Slim pandora menu. i put in the battery while holding L and turn the PSP on still holding L. blank screen and i press X. memory stick light flashes for a second and the system powers down. the WiFi light is on throughout.

i put in my normal battery and go to system settings and i'm still seeing OFW 3.90 that came on my PSP-2001 model. whats going on?

i tried setting up the MMS for Fat, since the battery is a fat and the memory stick dosen't respond when i press X

use that guide to make the MMS. and you must use a xp computer. vista will not work.
