starview 2 what am i doing wrong

got the right cables downloaded fix to pc put it into gtrom but nothing happens then tells me flash failed,as this is first time ihave flashed what is procedure for downloading firmware, downloaded it to my docs then loaded into gtrom is this all or have i missed something

mate see when u download the firmware click into it and you will see a file called bin file right click on that and extract to specific folder,i extracted to desktop, then when u load the gtrom and hit bin file youll see it,double click on it and download then it should start to download.

hi des,im goin to be flashin a mates box 2moro,the thing is hes got the exact same box but its a differnt version his is 4.51 version starvew 2 but when i flashed mine i had 4.54 on mine,when i done mine i justed flashed the bin file and thats was it sorted,just wondering do i have to flash the logo file or anything?? ive downloaded the 4.55 firmware already..

You have no need to put the Logo File on just flash straight up to the 4.55 firmware from the 4.51 it is fine, just make sure that you use the GTRom 4.03 Loader that's all.
