Does it really matter about the volume control on mic? I want to use it for online too so if it is difficult to hear people online with the others, or if it really affects the actual gameplay sound Id rather just use one that you can adjust mic volume.
I currently have a gaming chair but need to replace it, I want to get the best 5.1 headphones and I am not bothered about wires. I sit about 6 foot away from the TV and want to use both with PS3 and xbox 360. I want an optical input too. Do all the above come with a control box?
The reason I am going away from the ear force is because I have heard of interference and hissing but im still considering it if someone that has them can tell me that only occurs in situation x
I have a 42 inch LG PLASMA HDTV so Im unsure if that type of tv would affect wireless headphones or not.
If people who actually have any of the above could reply it would help me out a lot, thanks.

I recently asked for headphones for xmas, took them back, and will eventually have my pc/xbox360 compatable set in my mail.
I opted for price/value I bought the Tritton AX360, they work on both surround sound 5.1 with a base base rumble and can be used on PC windows platform and over XBOX live with mic and surround sound.
If you buy them from NCIX you can do a price match, if you know what you want, proceed with item in your cart to checkout, after which you can scroll down and befor paying input and price and link to where you saw that item in your cart cheaper than at NCIX. Tiger Direct.ca was selling ther AX360 for $119 and sum change, while NCIX had them for sale at $149~ not I kinda wish I had of known they sold the Tritton AXPro they are definatly more expensive and right now Im not in the market for a $200 pair of headphones. I just hope that the ax360 have a long life and nothing is defective.
they have all the bells and whisteles I want, exualixzer, volume controls, and a mic that works with PC and Xbox Live. both of which are more advanced used with the equalizer your able to talk, hear what is hapening and what others say without pause in game sound.
Ah these also work for the PS3 but you will need some extensions to get the mic to work properly, although it is possible.
