Hi im just really confused can someone help me out with this
ok im going to get a wii console and i wanted to know how
i would back up my games for it so im hearing that you need
a wii key or either homebrew software is one just as good as the other
my likely choice would be the homebrew but where would i get this
software and how to install it and also what do i have to take in
consideration as far as the firmware or chipset goes with either one would i have to downgrade my firmware for the homebrew and if so how somebody please help me???????

You don't need a modchip to backup games, only to play backups. Supposedly there are way's around this as well, though I wouldn't know.

Check out WiiBrew.org. There you will find info on the Twilight Hack and on the Homebrew apps. You'll need to downgrade your firmware if you're operating on 3.4. Personally I use WiiHttpd Dumper for backup because it doesn't require any additional hardware.
