I'm trying to get my XBOX connected to my PC. I'm using an Ethernet card and a crossover cable. The problem is when I use FlashFXP it won't connect - it just times out. When I turn the XBOX on and off, I get the waring in Windows XP that a network cable is unplugged (so I'm pretty sure it's not a problem there).

On the Ethernet card, the TCP/IP settings are as follows:

IP Address: 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

It's also set to 10BaseT Full Duplex

The network settings on EvoX are:

TYPE= Static
IP=192.168.100.10
Line status=10/Half Duplex
Ethernet MAC address=00:50:F2:95:27:90
Setup Network=yes
Use static IP=yes
IP=192.168.100.10
Subnetmask=255.255.255.0
DefautGateway=192.168.100.1
DNS=0.0.0.0
DNS=0.0.0.0
Setup Delay=0
Skip Setup If No Disk=no

Does anyone have any idea what my problem is? If so, how do I fix it?

your ip's must be in the same range
change on xbox in sys. settings to somthing like 192.168.0.2 or 3 or 10 or 200
you want ...in range means xxx.xxx.x.y the x's need to be the same for both just make the last >y< needs to be different

if you change the xbox make sure to save/exit and reboot
changing pc you wont need to reboot just hit ok
sometimes unplug and plug back in for network to find

don't kick'm , hit'm

yeah im struggeling with my ip as well
im using a hub and get these network settings apearing on my screen.

Type- static
IP -192.168.100.10
LINE STATUS- 100/FULLDUPLEX
ETHERNET MAC ADDRESS- 00.50.F2.67.74.84
SETUP NETWORK-YES
USE STATIC IP-YES
IP 192.168.100.10
SUBNETMASK-255.255.255.0
DEFAULT GATEWAY-192.168.100.1

NOTE-Im running evox on disk only because i cannot network,which means i cant seem to save any settings
(there is no save and exit button only exit)

so how do you change on your pc (i have tried to change it by going to network connections click on local area connections clicking on properties then double clicking internet protocol ip and manually configer but my x box still reads 192.168.100.10)

it even reads that when just connected to the hub,when the hub is not even connected to the pc!!!

and when i use flash fxp it just says connection timed out

Why is 192.168.100.1 your gateway? Are you routing it out somewhere? If not, try without a GW.

Try running it at 10 mbps (check what your hub can do)

You're not setting your PC and XBOX to be the same IP address are you? they should be in the same range but not the same address.
