Installing a wiikey, First my dad started the installation and the case came off with no issues but three of the Solder pads on the wii drive have came off entirely and for the life of me I cannot create new solder pads where the old ones were

Secondly I tried to attach the wire to the wiikey but one of the golden pads you solder to came loose and fell off, I cannot glue it back on nor can I solder wire to the wiikey without the gold pad

Very worried that the wii won't work when it's put together again and don't know how to reattach solder or golden pads to make the installation work?

You will need to trace the leads to the IC chip on both the Wii and the Wiikey. It can be hard to solder to the IC legs so you might want to think about sending it to a pro to do.

Do you have a diagram? I'm not sure about where I am 'tracing' to?

Actually I think I understand, Trace the wiring on the board back to the leg of the chip and then solder the wire to that leg and then treat that newly soldered wire to where the original SHOULD have gone!

Those legs are pretty close together, So I doubt I could do it
I don't know of any proffesionals that would be able to do it or would do it due to it being a modification to a console, Possibly some way to make it easier, because I won't try it as you guessed I am a novice, Most of the 'oops' weren't me though to be fair, If I had have done the whole thing I think it would have gone smoother

You could order a V3 WiiClip which just snaps over the chipset on the Wii DVD drive board. You would of course have to still trace the lead on the Wiikey that has the missing pad back to the leg on the chip and solder a wire from there to the WiiClip. All other soldering joints can be soldered normally to the WiiClip.
