I am sort of new to the ripping and burning thing, but I have ripped and burned 45 without a problem. When I ripped and burned the naked brothers band game, it came up on my main menu, and I am able to press start, but when I start it, a black screen comes up and my wiimote instant shuts off, I burned it again twice, same thing. This is my first karaoke game I ripped, and I don't have a mic, do I have to have a mic in order for it to work? Is anybody aware of this problem? Do you think it is just a bad rip? The file size is 4,589,824kb, is it possible to have a bad rip if it is exactly that siaze? I don't want to rent it again, and waste the three hours if its pointless. Thanks

Yes, it is possible to have a bad rip even though it Is the right size.
My backups of Mario Super Sluggers kept "hanging" whenever I went into the training screen.
I found an .iso backup from a diffrerent source that didn't hang and did an fc (file compare) to my rip. There were differences in/between the two files, so evidently my rip, for whatever reason, was bad.
Unfortunately, there's no way to verify a rip against the original (that I am aware of).

Another thing is that I have a wiikey 2, does this chip allow you to do the game updates? or will that brick it? Or is there a program that will let me do it

You will need to install the update that enables USB mics (gont misyake this update for the WiiSpeak Micro Phone update) to work. I would download a copy of American Idol Ecore 2 game and run the update on it. Make sure it is the same region as your Wii system.

Do you mean run the update on the game? I have the orginal game, do you mean put that in and run update when it tells me to? IS that going to brick my system? Or is there another update I need to download?

If the game disc is the same region as your Wii system then it is fine to update from the game disc.

Cool that worked, thank you very much, so my next question is that I've been told by numberous sites that if I do the updates like I just did, I will brick my wii. So how come this didn't brick it? Or do all the updates work that way because I have the wii key 2. Another thing is, will I brick it if I do the animal crossin update, or is it even worth it since I won't be going on line, thank you for your help

As long as you update using a Game Disc that is the same region as your Wii you will not brick your system.
Now with the newer game disc like animal crossing they can cause issues with homebrew applications. So if you use homebrew applications then it is recommended you do not update. If you don't use homebrew applications then it is fine to update.
Now most newer games (like AC City Folk) have work around to get the Game Disc to play when WiiBrickBlock has been used on it. There are AC City Folk threads already posted in the Wii section on how to work around this issue.
