hello i know when you buy a game it may come with a system update on it so my question is

1:If you download a game it sayes its a pal game but it realy NTSC game will this mess up you wii or will it say not for this system.

2: with the mod chip can you tell it not to play NTSC games

3: if the NTSC games messes up your system can you change it back to the pal settings

With Gecko OS you can crack the region and avoid updates. This is what I use.

You can check the original region of a downloaded backup by using an application called WiiBrickBlocker. Just load the ISO in WiiBrickBlocker and then hit the INFO button and it will tell you the region of the game disc.

The second part of your question can be answered in the Ultimate Sticky Thread which is at the top of the Wii Section forum. I would recommend going there and learn as much as you can.

i see larry you know your stuff so the wii brickblocker dosent work on all game.

but alls i have to do is hit info see its pal and the patch it. as i understand the patching changes some files on the iso and gets rid of the update....would i be right in saying that....

also i see that there is no fix if you fully brick your wii.. is there a fix being worked on
