Hey guys,

I recently updated my box with new firmware. LAst night though i put the thing on timer to turn itself off like you do sometimes when you know you will fall asleep before turning it off. IT went off as planned only problem now is i cant get it on again. All it does is load up and the channel number i had it on comes up and a second later the box turns itself off again with and the time i set the timer for comes up on the front. I have tried turning it off at the mains removing the hard drive etc but nothing works.

Any ideas would be grateful.

Ps. Kinda getting sick of this box so could anyone recommend a better one.

I am not familiar at all with this box but perhaps a factory reset might sort it?

If you are genuinely fed up with the damn thing and not to bothered about a PVR, then have a look at this, it is a very nice box.

Yep suppose you are correct, you just have to consider that it has only got a single tuner unlike The Box PVR, so you would only be able to watch another channel whilst recording one that is being transmitted on the same tp transponder, and the recommended HDD is 120 gig max.

Yep that is a good price alright, as regards the setting up it is not a problem honestly, and you will get all the help you need here, just bear in mind what I have said up above as to the limitations, and if your happy with that then fine. Check out the setting up here (link below), all you need is your symbol rate and away you go, I must say that there has been a few posts regarding glitches with the HDD recording etc. but otherwise it works just as well as the other Eurovox's, and you will find help files in Eamo's FTA Library at the bottom of my post, so all in all - well supported if you want a change, but have a look here >>>>>>>>>>>>

You are on the wrong thread here tony mate, but when you say The Box, do you mean The Box Super is that what it say's on the top left front.
