I flashed my benq drive a while back and it played all the games I gave it with no problems.

Recently I have been problems with the red Screen of death. (Not ring)

I bought a new 360 only to find out that it has the new Lite-on drive that is currently not flashable.

I bought a xtractor 360 and spear add-on to try and get my new 360 to work with my benq drive.

The xtractor physically broke on me when I tried to disconnect it from the molex power supply.

I did however manage to get the key and produce an output file with the device.

The problem is I can't manage to complete the process of getting the benq to work in the new system.

I am unemployed right now so I have spent over 19 hours researching, reading, watching videos, sending messages back and forth with people, and posting in forums trying to figure out what the problem is.

Here goes.

I run DosFlash 32 and I get a question that says

MTK Vendor intro failed on Port 0xDE00 because there seems to be a Benq drive connected you should try Germania's unlock method.

I follow the instructions it gives me about ejecting the tray and turning it on and off and so forth and click yes.

I then get a pop up that tells me that Info Germania's unlock method failed!

I press ok.

I get a question that says MTK Vendor failed on Port 0xDE00 if you choose to resent the command you should turn the drive off and on after you pressed "Yes" Do you want to resend the command until the drive responds? (Press ESC key to abort!)

If I press yes it just says at the bottom of the dosflash popup that it is "Sending MTK Vendor intro to port 0xDE00...Status"
and it will stay there forever and not do anything even if I turn the 360 power on and off.

If I press no and then try to press Read flash or Write flash or Erase flash I get an Error message that says "No known flash chip on this port!"

No one seems to know what the problem is.

Is there an easy way to do this? or do you know what I'm doing wrong?

Please help.

People use this term so much it dosen't really mean much anymore but I am being honest when I say this is one of the most happiest moments in my life.

I FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK!!!

The problem is that the xtractor 360 broke on me after I got the files I needed and I was told that I could complete the process without the device as long as I generated an output file.

I tried dosflash, and Iprep but nothing worked.

Finally my replacement xtractor 360 came in the mail today and I got it to work within like 4 minutes.

Evidently YOU DO need the device for the whole process.
