Not much difference between them, both will do the same job!, the Max V has more connections on the back of it, but the EX1000SL is a much slimmer box.

When you unplug it and plug it back in, does the download not kick in to life?

Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

EX1000s is the replacement for Max V - much slimmer and sexy looking thing. It has a new board for fast epg loading and good signal boosting.

I hope this helps!

Can you just clarify this is what you are doing:

You hit start, and then the system reset message comes up, you then turn off the box (unplug) and then put it back on again (plug it in) ?
At this stage it should kick into life (without clicking on anything or restarting the download program or anything else)
