Hitachi v46 Flashed, Doesn't Play BackUps

Hi, here's my problem. I tried flashing my Hitachi (v46). Everything went well. Used de Slax CD to bring it in Mode B. Then used de iXtreme firmware 1.4. The program says everything is fine and says my Hitachi is flashed with the hacked firmware. When i put in an backup it just doesn't read the game. Tried an original game and it works flawlessly. There's nothing wrong with my backups. they all work fine on my other Xbox. Every little bit of help is much appreciated.

well if your backups work great in another 360, then it's not them.

If the one you think you flashed is capable of reading original games, then you didn't mess up the drive key.

It's got to be your flash. I would just redump, and then reflash the drive again. That really can be the only option, since it wouldn't be your media or laser either (I'm making that assumption).

Dont reflash !

check the firmware folders you dumped with fw toolbox- im sure the then and now ones will be ok....

hitachi 46s and 47s are a big pain.

there is a few thing you can do to get it to work playing your backups.

i have flashed loads of them and had problems with 1 out of every three.


Try these out /(google them/look on you tube).
1. pot calibration. tweak your dvd pot on your laser so the resistance is lower and your laser shines brighter.

2. put a bit of card or rubber or anything about between 1-3 mm on the white arm that sits on your laser at the point where it hits the button to on your dvd drive to start it reading.....the Ring on a copy where the laser starts reading is a bigger diameter than that of a n original so the hitachi laser needs to be instructed earlier sometimes to start reading the disc.

3.(LAST RESORT) swap the greencircuit board with all the ribbons connected etc into another drive the same , put this drive in your 360 .


These are all the things i have done over 2 yrs to get backups working in hitachi 46 and 47s.
