Hi, I have been using notepad with its log function but it seems there is an odd file size limit to the log function, which doesn't make sense. When a log reaches 32KB it gives me this error when I open it: "Not enough memory available to complete this operation. Quit one or more applications to increase available memory, and then try again.". After that the log will open but it won't place a time/date stamp at the end of the log. I didn't think my memory was the problem as I have 4GB, but just in case I closed every unnecessary program and process and tried again to no avail. With the possibility of this being a rare error I started another log but when it got to 32KB the same error started coming up. Does anyone know what's going on or what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for the assistance,

Parker

Notepad is designed to read small files. You can use wordpad which has a larger limit or actually get a real text editor.

haha, I have real text editor I just used notepad cause I was too lazy to figure out how to use a log function with a different program. Though I never would've figured notepad had a maximum size limit, thanks for the info Mez.

I set the real text editor up as a default for text files and set to be a right click option for any file since it is also a hex and binary file editor. It pops up fast enought I haven't used either of those in a coons age. I do know the size limit of note pad is tiny hence the name.
