Okay, I've been having serious problems with Nero. Wait, let me go back, Nero won't even open on my PC. I used to use it back in Nov-Dec with no problems. I put a new HD in my PC and recently downloaded the latest version of Nero (and older ones as well) and the program will open, show the title screen and lock up. The only way it will go down is rebooting.

Is there an alternative program that anyone recommends. I like Nero, it was simple to use and I never made one coaster but since it won't work anymore on my PC I need to look elsewhere.

So, what does everyone recommend? BTW it doesn't have to be free, I'll get it if it works!

Thanks a lot.

Have you tried Nero 6 Ultra mate , as you said you hadn't used since Nov-Dec I thought you might've still been using Nero 5.X.X.X ?

Also did you fully uninstall / reinstall & try again ?

You might wanna let your PC re-recognise DVD Writer w/out Nero & then install Nero (perhaps)

Another option / alternative is 'RecordNow' though if you're sure you wanna wander away from Nero ;-)

I've been using Record Now for almost a year and have had great success with it. I did try Nero for a brief period and found Record Now easier to use.

All the bruning info you need to start is here: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/141024.php#dvd9dvd2one

Bruinguy,

If you don?t want to use Nero OR RecordNow (although I think they are both great) you could try CloneDVD (by Elby) - an excellent alternative :-))
