special settings for Imgburn?

does Imgburn need any settings changed to burn wii discs?

i have

D2E console PAL
Firmware of wii is 3.3
WiiKey2 - solderless - properly installed
WiiKey2 1.2 config disc.

ImgBurn - latest version
Sony DVD-R Single Layer discs (maybe i should use verbatims?)

i m trying to burn Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree (NTSC)
i have tried to burn at 2x and 4x using default settings

the game is recognised by th Wii.
but when i click start the wii goes to black screen and freezes.

power button & reset button wont work, wii remote does nothing.

eject button will eject the disc but still cant do anything else.
have to pull power plug out and then put it back in to use the console again.

the iso image is the exact proper size.

i burnt the wiikey2 config disc and it works, registers as a gamecube game and runs properly.

so all i can think that the problem might be is
1. its a ntsc game (shouldnt matter as wii is modchipped)
2. need to change settings in ImgBurn
or 3. need to use verbatims


any thoughts?

That specific game has region compatibility issues. Patching the region won't fix it either.

Try downloading a PAL version of the game and that should fix your black screen issues.

I've got WiiKey2, use ImgBurn (default settings) to burn and GeckoOS to run them, no problems so far.

tried carnival games ntsc.

burnt at 4x using standard settings in imgburn.

works perfect.

must be big brain acaemy : wii degree. that has issues.

is there a list somewhere of games that have issues?

saves d\l'ing & burning if i could find out b4 hand
